Eating disorder recovery is tough, and often requires far more than someone pushing a meal plan and asking you to eat more Kit Kats every week. The mental and emotional load behind eating disorders is huge and it can feel like you're completely bound to these coping mechanisms forever, but having someone to guide you along the first stages of recovery or relapse is incredibly important in feeling accountable, understood, and hopeful.

After working in both the NHS and Private sector, from being Lead Specialist Dietitian at one of Europe’s foremost private residential treatment centres, to working in paediatrics, I am delighted to be taking my skills to my own practice, where I can offer more time, input and flexibility to my clients.
I choose to weave a few therapeutic strands into my practice, including primarily ACT (Acceptance and commitment therapy) (1), motivational interviewing, DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy) and CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy), as well as CBT specifically designed for Eating Disorders, such as Bulimia Nervosa and Anorexia Nervosa. All of these treatments show a level of efficacy in treating eating disorders.

Should your partner or family require support, I can facilitate a supportive group session too. There's studies that indicate involving the family in treatment can provide long term benefits, particularly for teens (2); I find it essential that those around you are well equipped to be proactive, gently challenging, and 'boundaried'.
